We designed, built and installed these Nikau palm fronds that sit atop concrete trunks made by some very creative locals at Matapouri beach.

Designed in our CAD programme (see visuals below) the fronds were cut on our CNC Plasma Cutter and also involved some skilled folding and welding work so it was a real team effort.

Made from corten steel, the sculpture has already begun to weather nicely.

All up, the trees are about 5m high and the 'trunks' will form the supports of a sign that will be used to promote upcoming events.
